DriveSize 5.9.5 RELEASE NOTE

INSTALLATION AND PREREQISITES

DriveSize software runs on Windows 8.1 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit) and Windows 11 (32 and 64 bit). 
It will install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 and MS Access 2016 engine.
DriveSize requires 400MB of free disk space in minimum and Microsoft Excel 2010/2013 for reports.
Compatibility with 32-bit and 64-bit Office versions with separate installation packages.

Microsoft .Net framework 4.8 (full)
Microsoft Office 2010 and above.
Microsoft Office 32-bit with the Access database required for ABB Sophie motors (HXR, AMI, NXR) dimension.

Installation of DriveSize PC App is simplified - No Admin rights needed.
If installation fails try to instal with Run as administrator, available under right mouse button.
Notice that MS Access 2016 engine installation may require local admin rights. 
DriveSize PC App version 4.9 or later has online update capability. 
It automatically checks for updates when DriveSize is started and computer is connected to Internet. Installation is proposed when update is available. 

To install first time or update version older than 4.9

1) Disable MCAfee Host Intrusion Prevention System or similar products both while uninstalling and installing of DriveSize.
2) Make sure all programs/components of previous DriveSize are uninstalled. Components are DriveSize, VSDSize, MCsize and ABB Sophie.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall DriveSize. 

3) Select the correct setup package for your MS Office verision and run DriveSizeSetup594_32.exe or DriveSizeSetup594_64.exe. Now WIX installer install Drivesize application per user.

First the main module is installed and then the components.
The default folder is C:\users\[user]\DriveWare\DriveSize with the following tree structure:  
	\DriveSize - main module, the framework 
	\VSDSize - sizing of Variable Speed Drives and motors
	\MCSize - motion control dimensioning
        \ABBSophie - customer specific HXR, AMI and NXR dimensioning
	\Application worksheet - application worksheet directory

   Onboarded new frame type within the 400V & 500V, ACS880-204LC IGBT module portfolio 
   IP55 variants of ACH580-01 and ACQ580-01 have been onboarded
   Application name change from Refrigeration/Chiller to Compressor/Blower for ACQ580
   Drives database updates Q1/24

SPECIAL NOTES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 
1) Check your MS Office version before installation and use the appropriate version. 
	Setup packages are available for 32-bit and 64-bit MS Office versions. 
2) Previously saved files with Sophie Motors(HXR, AMI, NXR) will reopen with a new build, it is not re-dimensioning motors, 
	but it will display old saved results with 32-bit and 64-bit office versions .	
3) Databases are located in two places by Windows. After installation databases are located (by default): 
	C:\users\[user]\DriveWare\DriveSize\VsdSize\System and into the Virtual Store directory 
	C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\DriveWare\DriveSize\VsdSize\System
4) If you need help with DriveSize, use online help system/User manual or contact your local ABB office/product manager.
   	If you have installation or other PC-related problems, contact your local IT specialists first.
